When I called Maine Equal Justice, they were able to tell me exactly what the rules said about my rights and my responsibilities as a Parents as Scholars participant. With this information, and the support of Maine Equal Justice, I felt confident and empowered to advocate for myself. Occasionally, when I couldn’t make any progress, Maine Equal Justice would get involved.
